Editorial illustration is essentially an exercise in creative problem solving. As an illustrator and political cartoonist my job is to visually interpret the world around me while engaging and balancing the subject material provided by the Client. Illuminating key concepts while communicating the articles core ideas to the reader are essential elements of a successfully rendered illustration. I pride myself on being able to turn around assignments quickly and effectively in all mediums including print and electronic while enhancing the subject matter through a distinct visual style.

In 2015, Spontoonist launched a unique service to provide custom art window screens to owners of commercial buildings to fill empty windows during periods of extended vacancy. These high-resolution images are custom printed on all weather vinyl material and are suitable for most window types. Spontoonist Workshops can be either public or private sessions of between 2 and 32 people held in schools, community centers or in my home studio. In these sessions I teach the fine art of doodling and it’s importance to the overall learning process.
